Malvern car Show 9th April

I’m about to send off the 2012 Classic Vehicle booking form to confirm our attendance at the Three Counties Showground on Monday 9th April.

Club funds cannot stretch to pay for tickets, this year, so if you would like to go, please, could you let me know by this Sunday, the 26th Feb. Passes are £3.50 each and we are requesting to be inside just in case the weather is horrible.

Richard, Malcolm, Terry & Geoff have already given me their £3.50 but if others would like to go please let me know and then I will “mug” you next time I see you for your pass.

Time to bring the cars out of hibernation and stretch their legs or should I say wheels!

I have booked a table for 10 at the Chateau Impney Hotel, Droitwich WR9 0BN for 12:30. I can change the booking and add more if needs be so could you let me know by next Wednesday 29th Feb. if you are able to come along.

Chairperson/Treasurer’s (aka Helen :O) ) AGM email

The standing down of our honourable Treasurer; Terry Dutton who has done a great job. Thank you, once again, Terry.

I also tried standing down as Club Secretary but I was “persuaded” to stand again.

As nobody wanted to voluteer to be Treasurer, the two roles have been combined into one and, I am now doing both so keep an eye out for trillings of emails from me with either hat on!

I would like to thank everyone who nominated me for the trophy which I now have proudly sitting on our sideboard (collecteing dust along with Adrian’s hockey trophies).

It was suggested, this trophy be named the Paul Unthank trophy in warmest memories of Paul. I have spoken to Nicky about this and she has gladly agreed; great!

It was agreed that Club meetings would now be held on the 2nd Tuesday in the month rather than Monday so the next meeting will be held on TUESDAY 13th MARCH.

I have looked into the possibility of the permanent Club meeting place being the Blue Bell at Upton Upon Severn but they are unable to commit saying it depended what else was happening so I think it would be best if we carry on meeting at the Marlbank Inn in Welland near Malvern.

The membership fee is to remain at £5. Please could people let me have their cash, as soon as possible, if they haven’t already paid.

British Heritage Motor Museum Visit

Many thanks to David and Sylvie who arranged the visit to the British Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon. The Museum wasn’t crowded and there was plenty of room to walk about the cars and take photos. I for one enjoyed it lots.

Here is a photo taken from an upstairs display looking down on some of the cars on display.

British Heritage Motor Museum Visit

Its on Sunday 20th November and is £11 per ticket (unless more than 12 of us go) and is being arranged by David and Sylvie. The location of the Museum is Gaydon (near Stratford upon Avon), Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ. We’re meeting at the Spetchley layby (first one on left after leaving worcester towards Alcester on A422) at 08:45, leaving at 09:00. Meseum is open 10:00 to 17:00.
